Mutineer Theatre Company formally introduced itself to the Los Angeles community on Saturday, January 24th, 2009 by throwing a Launch Party to celebrate our inception as we embark on our debut season and to continue to raise money to support our creative endeavors. Technically, in the wake of the Presidential Inauguration, this was MTC's inaugural ball, but — unlike the ones that took place in Washington D.C. — ours had a shorter commute and a more relaxed dress code.
The Launch Party took place at the Art|Works Theatre in Hollywood, CA and featured the christening of Mutineer Theatre Company, the premiere of the MTC Trailer, live performances by the Schumaker Twins, Amy Clarke, Eva Brontosaurus, Jared Young, Brent Fisk, Kara and Corey Britz, and Man and the Motorcar, complimentary bar and hors d'oeuvres, and an opportunity to bid on a diverse collection of Silent Auction items.
