Mutineer Theatre Company (MTC) is comprised of actors, visual artists, composers, writers, dancers, photographers, sculptors, filmmakers, directors, and designers working collaboratively to conceive unique and inspired work. We are committed to creating intelligent, challenging, and thought-provoking theatre that observes, explores, and reflects upon the human condition. It is our goal to establish ourselves as a resource for the development of new work: an ensemble where new and original voices will be realized through a unified collaborative effort.
MTC is an incorporated 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that relies primarily on the kindness and generosity of its patrons for funding. All charitable contributions made to MTC are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
As a nomadic theatre company we perform in and around the Los Angeles area. Venue selection is based on the material chosen for production.
New Play DevelopmenT
Committed to creating original work through an ever-evolving collaborative process, Mutineer invites you to submit your project ideas, proposals, and scripts for development and production. Please send it to us via submissions@mutineertheatre.com. Please put “MTC Submission” in the subject line and be sure to include a brief synopsis and history of the piece.
Separately, if you are in the process of working on something and would like to hear it out loud in a casual environment and are open to collaborative feedback, we encourage you to consider coming to our Stab-Lab–a casual and comfortable environment for taking a STAB in a LABoratory setting. If interested in attending, please contact Stab-Lab Coordinator Kenneth Requa at kenneth@mutineertheatre.com
